El Conquistador is a new Ecuadorian restaurant located in the heart of Peekskill's artist and commercial districts. The restaurant sits next door to the historic Center Diner on Bank Street and across the street from Westchester Community College's Peekskill extension campus. It serves authentic Ecuadorian meals including fish, meat, vegetarian and chicken entrees - the most popular dish at El Conquistador is its deliciously tender roast chicken. While the atmosphere of El Conquistador feels more upscale with its newly renovated interior and tastefully decorated eating area, the restaurant's prices are quite reasonable.
